Scam alert warning: Avoid Osson Trust Group, ossontrustgroup.com. It’s a suspected dubious trading platform or broker. I analysed and researched this entity, and identified three serious red flags I’d like to disclose and explain in this review.

Without wasting any time, let’s dive into these red flags:

1. Osson Trust Group’s Deceptive Live Chat

Osson Trust Group is deceiving customers with a non-working Live Chat feature. I investigated this feature to see its efficiency and to get first-hand information about the company directly from them. So, I typed and sent the word “Hi.”

After a short while, the system prompted me to enter my name, email address, and telephone number alongside the country code. I sensed danger when asked to enter my telephone number alongside the country code.

So, I decided to input false details.

After providing those details, the Live Chat feature remained stuck, displaying the message: “Your message is being sent over to the team. They will be in touch soon.”

It was a clear indication that the feature was not functional. After all, a Live Chat system should allow for real-time communication with a support agent or even a bot. If it cannot do that, then it is a fake Live Chat.

This purported Live Chat feature is there to harvest your personal details (name, email address, and telephone number). Somebody might later use these details for unsolicited communication to defraud you.

Live Chat Systems Are Usually Not Too Invasive Into Your Privacy

Typically, many legitimate trading platform’s Live Chat systems don’t request much of your personal details. You type a message, and it goes through, after which a support agent comes online immediately to assist you.

The agent may then ask for your name and perhaps an email address, usually to help them follow up on your issue further and to reach out to you after you leave the Live Chat. These details are usually sufficient, and no one ever asks for your telephone number alongside the country code. It’s too invasive into your privacy.

As I mentioned in my review of a scam broker called Cryptoifx Ltd (cryptoifx.com),” a broker that features a Live Chat system with restricted access can be a red flag. It might be a manipulative tactic to collect your personal details, which someone might later use to target you.

2. Osson Trust Group’s Possible Background Misrepresentation

When you visit the “About” page on ossontrustgroup.com, it shows that Osson Trust Group is located at Vasagatan 10, 111 56 Stockholm, Sweden. It also lists the following number as the company’s contact: +16474784577.

However, the research I’ve done reveals different information about the background of this company.

First, the number “+16474784577”, is a Canadian one, specifically from Ontario.

All North American numbers (i.e., US and Canada) begin with +1, the country code for this region. If you come across a telephone number starting with +1, you know it’s North American.

On the other hand, all telephone numbers in Sweden begin with +46, the country code for Sweden.

Since Osson Trust Group lists Vasagatan 10, 111 56 Stockholm, Sweden, as its physical address, I expected their phone number to start with +46, not +1.

There could be two possible scenarios here;

First, Osson Trust Group could indeed be located at Vasagatan 10, 111 56 Stockholm, Sweden, as it claims, but is using a virtual phone number. It can be a red flag. I’ll explain why in a moment.

Alternatively, contrary to its claims, the company may not be located at Vasagatan 10, 111 56 Stockholm, Sweden. Instead, it might operate somewhere within North America as the telephone number suggests.

Either way, a broker that lists a virtual phone number can sometimes be untrustworthy. Dubious brokers often use such numbers to mask their true identities and locations, a sign of  transparency issues.

Similarly, a broker that misleads clients about its actual location, as may be another possible scenario here, is an untrustworthy broker.

3. Osson Trust Group Is Illegal

Aside from the red flags I’ve mentioned, Osson Trust Group does not indicate whether it is registered, regulated, or compliant.

The Finansinspektionen (the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority) oversees all legitimate brokers in Sweden.

So, I went to the online register of this regulator to check if this broker’s name is in the register, and found that it is not. That’s a sign that this purported broker is not registered, regulated, or overseen by the regulator.

It suggests that ossontrustgroup.com is an illegal broker we should avoid as customers.

If you’ve been reading my blog posts, I trust you know non-compliant brokers are illegal brokers, and you are fully aware of how bad they can set you back financially.

My Final Verdict On Osson Trust Group

Based on the red flags I’ve observed with Osson Trust Group, I’d like to caution you that this is not a legitimate online trading platform.

If you deposit your money here, there is a high likelihood that you will be scammed and lose your funds.

No genuine online trading platform features a deceptive Live Chat like ossontrustgroup.com does. Additionally, no legitimate platform is as sketchy about its background as this company is. Lastly, no genuine broker in Sweden operates without the oversight of the Finansinspektionen (the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority).
