Here’s a comprehensive, unbiased review of the broker. Read on to find out how this cryptocurrency scammer is so smart that he can easily outwit you regardless. But first things first, here’s a table that summarizes Imtoken:

Imtoken and How This Scam Works

Imtoken relies on many methods to scam as many gullible people as possible.

1. Working With Defuny To Look Legit

Imtoken has partnered with like-minded entities, which are less known, such as Defuny to look legit. While this can be enough assurance to gullible investors that this company is not a scam, the truth of the matter is that it is.

2. Using An Instagram Trick

Another method that this company uses to lure you is social media, especially Instagram. Bitcoin scam Instagram stories have become relatively common with Imtoken these days because a lot of people are falling victim.

Here’s a story of how a friend of mine, whom I’ll call “Ruby,” almost became a bitcoin scam instagram victim with Imtoken:

To put it into context, Ruby is a professional dancer. She loves to do videos on Instagram to promote her dancing career.

One day, a guy whom I’ll call “Mike’’ posted a brand new car on the social media platform. Mike and Ruby had been friends on Instagram for a long time, and they would occasionally chat.

When Ruby saw the photos of the car, which Mike had supposedly just acquired, she sent him a congratulatory message. Mike kept the conversation going until they got into chatting about bitcoin investments.

He told her that his company was paying him so well for marketing its BTC investment solutions that he was able to buy his dream car. He also revealed to her that he would soon acquire an apartment using the money that he was earning from the job.

At that point, Mike asked Ruby if she would mind helping him promote the company through her videos. But she said she wouldn’t.

A few days later, she began including the company’s promotional link that Mike had earlier sent her in her Instagram videos. But some days later, she received a text message with another link from the guy. In the message, he requested her to do him a small favor by sending him back the same link through Instagram. To avoid making Ruby suspicious, Mike lied to her, saying that his IG account had been locked and the only way he would be able to unlock it was if he sent him back the same link via the social media platform.

Immediately after reading the text, Ruby granted him the favor by sending him back the link through Instagram. But the following morning, she wasn’t able to access her IG account. That’s when she realized that she had been scammed. After doing some investigation, she later came to realize that the guy whom she thought was her Instagram friend was a scammer who had earlier hacked her friend’s IG account the same way he did hers.

After hacking Ruby’s Instagram account and impersonating her, he was able to get many friends of Ruby to invest in his scam. Though she reported this case to the authorities, this guy has not yet been stopped or apprehended. He still perpetuates this bitcoin scam Instagram.

3. Imtoken Withdrawal issues

A lot of blogs that have honest reviews of Imtoken all mention one thing—many people who tried the website were not allowed to withdraw their funds. Yet the company claims to be a crypto wallet. The fact is that any digital currency wallet or e-wallet that allows you to deposit money but disallows you to withdraw the same is an outright scam.

4. Social Media Feedback

I looked up Imtoken on Facebook, Reddit, and LinkedIn, and the proof that this company is a scam was quite overwhelming.

When it comes to Facebook with respect to Imtoken, the company has a page supposedly with 4.7k followers and 4.4k likes, as shown in the screenshot below:

A screenshot shows Imtoken has a Facebook page with 4.7k followers and 4.4k likes.

Surprisingly, there was no comment on any of its posts on the social media platform, which I found to be suspicious. There’s no way a company that legitimately has almost 5k likes and followers would attract no comment to any one of its countless posts.

Secondly, I could see that the company had garnered an average 4.6-star rating out of 64 customer reviews.  But on checking, I found out that most of the reviews were spam promoting other services that were irrelevant to Imtoken.

As for Reddit with regards to Imtoken, this company had a presence on this social media platform as well. I saw a post by Imtoken that tainted the company positively. It also indicated that both Bloomberg and Techcrunch recognized the company. Of course, that was expected since no company would shed a bad light on itself.

The thing is, I wasn’t sure if these websites were real or fake and cloned to look like bloomberg.com and Techcrunch. You know, nowadays technology has made it easy to clone, and this might just be a case of web cloning.

Plus, the comments that this post attracted were all somehow not so good. I saw a comment where the client referred to Imtoken as “the most scam website,” pointing out that they froze $6,000 from their account. You can see the comment highlighted in the screenshot below:

A screenshot shows that Imtoken received negative feedback from a client on Reddit.

As far as LinkedIn goes with respect to Imtoken, I noticed that the company is present on the professional networking platform as well, with 2k followers.

However, it touts itself on the platform as an internet publishing company, as shown in the screenshot below. Yet on its official website, it claims to be an easy and secure digital wallet trusted by millions.

Plus, Imtoken posted countless posts on its LinkedIn page, but the suspicious thing is that none of them attracted a single comment from the page’s 2k followers. It just did not make sense to me.

5. Scamadviser Feedback

Besides the above online places, I also looked up Imtoken on Scamadviser, where I noted that the reviews about this company were mainly negative. The scam checker website also warned that imtoken.im was reported to be unsafe by TrendMicro, a well-established cyber security software company.

6. Trustpilot Feedback

Finally, I also found Imtoken discussed on Trustpilot, an online review community, with feedback from customers regarding their experiences with businesses. Notably, the platform gave it an average trust rating of 2.3, a poor score according to its standards.

My Final Verdict On Imtoken

Imtoken is a fake company that is determined to dupe you by portraying itself as a cryptocurrency wallet trusted by millions. While the company tries to look legit, the evidence showing that it’s a scam far outweighs any evidence that the company might present to convince you that it’s legit.

Don’t let Imtoken’s promotional information on social media, in some unscrupulous blogs, or on its website fool you. Scamadviser and Trustpilot reviews all show that it’s a scam. Also, don’t forget about the story that I shared earlier regarding Imtoken and the bitcoin scam instagram incident.
