GOLDENTRUSTCO.CO is a potentially fraudulent trading platform you should avoid.
I analyzed it and noticed some serious red flags consistent with a scam broker. Below are those red flags:
1. GOLDEN TRUST Company Provides Misleading Details
Interestingly, GOLDENTRUSTCO.COM lists the following address, on its homepage, as its physical address:
Suite 305, Griffith Corporate Centre,
Beachmont, Kingstown, Saint Vincent
and Grenadines
It also lists the following as its company registration number:
17933305\9554
Golden Trust Company claims to have a special brokerage license from the FSA of St Vincent & the Grenadines to trade in financial and commodity-based derivative instruments and other securities.
Surprisingly, the FSA issued a warning notice against Golden Trust Company last year. The authority warned that goldentrustco.com is not incorporated or regulated in SVG contrary to the company’s claim.
Providing misleading physical address details or making false registration and licensing claims are common deceptive tactics in online trading.
I’ve seen many dubious brokers employ these deceptive tactics to fool unsuspecting traders into believing they are legitimate and trustworthy:
- ACT Capital Partners AG(actcapitalpartnersltd.com)—Provides false physical address details.
- Canada-Crypto.Com—Makes false registration claims.
- WTCentral(WTCentral.Com)–Makes false regulatory claims
- Octotrade(octotrade.ca)–Makes false registration claims.
A purported broker, such as Golden Trust Company, who lies to you about being registered and licensed is untrustworthy. That is a dishonest broker who will trick you into investing your money, then steal it and block you. You should avoid such a scammer.
2. Fictitious Contact Details
The broker also claims to be reachable by telephone through the following number, which is a UK one, despite claiming to be based in the SVG: +442080730082.
A broker that operates from a certain jurisdiction will provide a telephone contact that reflects that particular jurisdiction.
Here’s what you need to know, the telephone format for St. Vincent and the Grenadines is similar to the format used in North America(US and Canada), following the North American Numbering Plan (NANP). Their format is as follows: +1 784 456 7890 and not +442080730082.
GOLDENTRUSTCO.COM appears to provide a false telephone number to seem accessible to clients. However, the truth is that this so-called broker uses a fictitious telephone number to avoid being traced for its fraudulent activities.
3. Goldentrustco’s Non-Existent Trading Platforms Across Multiple Operating Systems
Goldentrustco claims to offer various trading platforms;
- Goldentrustco Mobile(for Android and iOS).
- Goldentrustco Desktop( for Windows and MacOS).
- Goldentrustco Web(for web-based trading).
However, I did some research and discovered there’s nothing like ‘Goldentrustco Mobile’ on either the Google Play Store (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS). Additionally, since I use Windows, I searched for ‘Goldentrustco Desktop’ on the Microsoft Store but found no results.
The results imply that there are no Goldentrustco trading platforms on Windows, Google Play Store, or Apple App Store for downloads, contrary to the broker’s claims.
Here’s what you need to know, a fraudulent broker may make false claims about having various trading platforms across multiple app platforms to appear fully equipped and well-resourced.
This deceptive tactic creates the impression that the broker offers a professional and fully-fledged trading environment with a variety of options, luring unsuspecting traders.
4. GOLDEN TRUST Company Has Negative Reviews
Many reviews from platforms, such as Scamadviser.com, WikiFX.com, BrokersView.com, and ForexPeaceArmy.com suggest that goldentrustco.com is unsafe.
For example, Scamadviser gives it a very low trust score, strongly suggesting that the website is likely a scam.
Similarly, WikiFX gives it an abysmal trust score of 1.18/10, further indicating that this so-called trading platform is unsafe.
Nonetheless, BrokersView.com also labels it as a scam, highlighting several red flags. For example, it highlights the warning issued by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Additionally, I came across a user-generated review on ForexPeaceArmy.com, where the reviewer refers to goldentrustco.com as a “typical pig butchering scam.” The review warns that the broker contacts people via WhatsApp, Line, Telegram, Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms, using fake photos and phone numbers to lure unsuspecting victims.
5. GOLDEN TRUST Company Exhibits A Pattern of Fraudulent Domains
After conducting thorough research, I noticed a recurring pattern suggesting that GTC has operated under various domains over time, consistently retaining the name “Golden Trust.”
The first case led me to an entity called “Golden Trust Bank,” which is no longer active. Its domain—goldentrustbankonline.com—has become unreachable. The company listed the following contact details, which were still available online at the time of this writing:
- Telephone number: +44 2080891259.
- Email address: Support@goldentrustbankonline.com.
- Physical address: St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
In the second case, I uncovered another entity named “Golden Trust,” associated with the now-defunct domain gtinvst.com/en. Its contact details, which were, again, still available online at the time of this writing were as follows:
- Telephone number: +44 2080891259.
- Email address: Client@gtinvst.com.
- Physical address: United Kingdom.
Based on this pattern, it appears that GOLDEN TRUST Company operates by launching fraudulent trading platforms, scamming investors, and then abandoning the platforms once their deceptive practices are exposed.
However, they retain the name “Golden Trust”, establishing a new fake platform, and repeating the cycle to lure in unsuspecting victims before moving on to the next scheme.
Final Verdict
Avoid Golden Trust Company(goldentrustco.com), a deceptive broker that uses various schemes to lure and con traders. The broker is blacklisted by the FSA which says it’s not one of its registered entities contrary to the broker’s claims.
Further, Golden Trust Company lists a fictitious physical address and telephone number clearly to evade authorities. It touts false resources that it doesn’t even have to look resourceful, reliable, and convenient.
What’s more, goldentrustco.com exhibits a pattern of past fraudulent domains, and the broker has garnered widespread low trust scores and negative reviews online. All these are serious red flags, suggesting that this purported trading platform is unsafe and unreliable.
