Bemoinvestmentfirmltd.vip or Bemo Investment Firm LTD is a scam broker impersonating a legitimate entity operating under the domain(bemobank.com) or the name Bemo Investment Firm LTD. The real entity offers private banking services, corporate banking services, and access to treasury, alongside capital markets. The Dubai Financial Services Authority(DFSA) recently warned that the operatives of the fake Bemo Investment Firm LTD(www.bemoinvestmentfirmltd.vip) use the following contacts:

    • +97145864607.
Purporting to be representatives of the legitimate Bemo Investment Firm Ltd( www.bemobank.com), they lure investors to deposit funds in the name of investing. Avoid engaging with these shady characters that aim to lure you by impersonating the representatives of the genuine Bemo Investment Firm LTD. The legitimate entity has the following telephone and Whatsapp numbers respectively:
    • +961 1 738 800(Telephone).
    • +961 81 556 916 (Whatsapp).
Otherwise, you might fall into their trap. As I stated in this post, brokers that claim to belong to the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines(SVG) jurisdiction, such as Bemo Investment Firm LTD(www.bemoinvestmentfirmltd.vip), are a huge red flag. Therefore, you should approach them with caution. The SVG does not have a proper regulatory framework governing financial brokers. Her government does not have strict regulatory standards or actively monitor financial brokers, paving the way for many scammers in the name of brokers.

2. It Uses The AnyDesk and TeamViewer Remote Desktop Software

The first thing you’ll notice when you visit www.bemoinvestmentfirmltd.vip is the presence of remote desktop software that basically allows users to access and control your device virtually. There’s a button for AnyDesk and TeamViewer remote desktop software at the bottom right side of the website where Live Chat is usually located. While these software are not necessarily a red flag, their presence on a questionable online trading platform such as this raises concerns about potential misuse. With AnyDesk or TeamViewer, a fraudulent broker can easily gain unauthorized access to your sensitive information and funds.

How This Deceptive Tactic By The Bogus Bemo Investment Firm LTD Works

Just to keep you alert, here’s how it normally plays out:
Bemo Investment Firm LTD Asks You To Instal a Remote Desktop App
Once you sign up on a fraudulent online trading platform such as Bemo Investment Firm LTD, your purported account manager convinces you to install TeamViewer or AnyDesk. To allay your skepticism, they’ll make it sound like a routine onboarding or support procedure usually by claiming that the remote desktop software is meant to speed up fund transfers, guide you in placing trades, and troubleshoot account issues. So, you’ll end up downloading the remote desktop app from their platform and installing it on your device.
Your Unique User Code or ID
After signing up, AnyDesk and TeamViewer normally assign you a unique user code or ID for security purposes. The scammer will request for this code or ID with which they can connect to your device virtually or remotely.
Your Permission
Next, they’ll manipulate you to permit them to control your device. Here they may use various tactics, such as requesting you to grant them permissions supposedly to; “resolve technical issues”, “process your fund withdrawal request”, “add a bonus to your account, and so on. With your permission, the scammer will now have unrestricted control over your computer. They will now be able to monitor and steal all your sensitive information, including your financial and trading account passwords. Consequently, they’ll steal money from your trading account and maybe your bank account. They may cover their tracks thereafter by fabricating your trades. Consequently, you’d think you lost your funds due to bad trades, when in reality, no trade took place, and your funds were stolen. This is the same situation a client of mine experienced with a fraudulent broker called ModMount. Here’s a blog post that I wrote, detailing how this trader lost a whopping $1,780,000 to this fake online trading platform through this deceptive tactic.

Steer Clear of Online Trading Platforms With Remote Desktop Apps

Anytime you come across any purported online trading platform that features remote desktop software such as AnyDesk or TeamViewer, steer clear of it. I’m not implying that these remote desktop software are bad,  but they can be deemed a red flag if employed in the wrong context. These software are widely used to facilitate remote collaboration in non-trading contexts such as remote work, collaboration, and small business operations. They are uncommon in online trading operations.
