This unbiased Cryptoifx Ltd review will provide a detailed analysis of those red flags and explain why you should avoid this broker at all costs.

Other Red Flags Cryptoifx Ltd

1. A Non-Working Live Chat Feature

The cryptoifx.com features a Live Chat that ideally should facilitate quick communication with support representatives. However, visitors on the site are unable to make an inquiry through this feature without an account. It’s impossible to submit an inquiry without entering your account number. Not only is it a sign of poor customer support, but also a red flag because by limiting access to assistance, the broker seems hesitant to provide basic information to non-clients. It’s also a way for the broker to try to funnel potential clients into registering accounts before addressing concerns. Overall, accessible and responsive customer support is an important aspect of a trustworthy online trading platform. If you notice restricted access, as in this case, it may indicate that you could be dealing with a dubious broker. This lack of transparency suggests a manipulative approach. By requiring an account number to access support, the broker is essentially pushing users to sign up without sufficient information. The Live Chat feature seems to be more focused on acquiring new clients than on genuinely assisting potential or existing customers. After all, I did not get a response even after submitting an inquiry using a fabricated account number.

2. Misleading Information About the Broker’s Physical Location

Another point I often mention to those who ask, ‘Is Cryptoifx Ltd a safe platform or a scam?’ is to pay attention to the broker’s telephone number in relation to its claimed physical location. The broker claims to be based in an offshore jurisdiction: St. Vincent & the Grenadines(SVG). However, its provided telephone number(+18008268126) does not correspond with the typical format for numbers from this region. Instead, St. Vincent & the Grenadines(SVG) telephone numbers usually go by the following format:  +1 784 XXX XXXX, for example, +1 784 1234 5678. The format of the telephone number listed by cryptoifx.com(+1 800 826 8126) is either American or Canadian, particularly a toll-free number from any of these two nations. There are two possible scenarios here:

Scenario 1(More Likely)

The broker might be using a fictitious virtual number, which is more likely the case here. Nowadays many services provide fictitious virtual numbers that scam brokers can use to deceive people. These numbers can mimic telephone numbers from various countries, giving the deceptive appearance that the broker operates from a specific location. In the case of cryptoifx.com, I’d call it a case of ‘double deception,’ for lack of a better term. The broker claims to operate from St. Vincent & the Grenadines(SVG), yet provides a fictitious telephone number linked to North America(the United States or Canada). It knows that you’re smart enough to look up the origin of the number and discover it’s from the United States or Canada. This contradictory information is designed to confuse you into believing the broker could be located in St. Vincent & the Grenadines(SVG), the United States, or Canada when, in reality, they are likely based nowhere near any of these places.

Scenario 2

Cryptoifx Ltd may, somehow, be operating from St. Vincent & the Grenadines(SVG), as it claims, or North America (i.e., the United States or Canada), as their listed telephone number suggests. Oh, and by the way, as I’ve mentioned many times, in the past, if you see a mention of  St. Vincent & the Grenadines(SVG) as the physical location of a purported broker, be very wary. In my experience, a lot of brokers that operate from this jurisdiction including OX Securities and SafeTrade have turned out to be fraudulent. Interestingly, BuzzFeed News magazine published a story in 2017 about the FBI’s investigation of Paul Manafort, Donald Trump’s former campaign manager. In the article, it mentioned that SVG and Cyprus are notorious for money laundering.

Why Brokers Who Claim To Be Based in SVG Are Often Seen As a Red Flag

First, SVG does not regulate brokers. This means brokers based there operate without oversight from any financial regulatory authority. The lack of oversight allows them to engage in fraudulent practices without facing repercussions. Second, since there is no oversight for brokers in this jurisdiction, many scammers falsely claim to be based there, and it’s difficult for clients to verify their legitimacy. Third, the absence of regulation results in minimal scrutiny from the authorities, allowing brokers to engage in deceptive practices unchecked.

Our Verdict On Cryptoifx.Com

I hope this honest review exhaustively answers the question “Is Cryptoifx Ltd a safe platform or a scam?” Founded in 2021, this purported online trading platform has exhibited serious red flags associated with dubious brokers. For instance, it has been blacklisted as a potentially fraudulent trading platform by Russian financial authorities. In addition, cryptoifx.com lists a questionable physical location as the broker’s headquarters, SVG. St. Vincent & the Grenadines is awash with scammers masquerading as legitimate brokers. You’ll find that many fraudulent online trading platforms operate from this jurisdiction. That being said, I hope this independent Cryptoifx Ltd review has helped you steer clear of this scam broker.
