Is Vault Markets Safe?

The short answer is YES. It’s a legitimate online trading platform currently undergoing the registration process with the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) of South Africa. Additionally, the firm is associated with a licensed and regulated company called RocketX (Pty) Ltd. Vault Markets is based in South Africa, though it accepts clients worldwide.

Does that mean people living in the United States can access its services?

The short answer is NO. I inquired with Customer Support and was informed that this online trading platform is not available for U.S. citizens or residents due to tax complexities. Similarly, it does not accept residents of Canada, Japan, North Korea, or China.

Vault Markets Minimum Deposit

The broker offers a flexible trading environment with a minimum deposit starting at just R50 or the equivalent in USD at the current exchange rate, which was $2.75, at the time of writing this article. This makes the service affordable and accessible to many people, allowing them to start their trading journey without needing a large upfront investment. The R50 or $2.75 minimum deposit grants access to the lowest account type and various financial instruments, including forex, indices, and commodities offered by Vault Markets. With the payment, traders can take advantage of high leverage of up to 1:500 and competitive spreads to maximize their trading potential. Additionally, they can explore different market opportunities effectively.

However, it’s important to note that the minimum equity needed to initiate positions will vary based on the margin requirements for the specific pair or index you intend to trade.

It would be great if the company had a dedicated support team capable of providing comprehensive assistance and promptly addressing client concerns. Unfortunately, that’s not the case as you’ll see shortly. 

Does Vault Markets Offer Bonuses?

Yes, the company provides two types of bonus accounts:

• Like the name implies, the 100% Bonus Account comes with a 100% bonus. It’s available at a minimum deposit of $5.

• Similarly, the 200% Bonus Account includes a 200% bonus. The minimum deposit for this account is also $5.

The difference between the two accounts is that the former comes with a 100% bonus, while the latter offers a 200% bonus. Additionally, the 200% bonus account does not offer leverage.

Which bonus account would you choose? The one that provides a 100% bonus with high leverage of up to 1:500, or the one that offers a 200% bonus without leverage?

What Account Types Does Vault Markets Offer?

The broker offers two account types: regular accounts and an Islamic account. Regular accounts start at $2.75, while the Islamic/Swap-Free account requires a minimum deposit of $100. Vault Markets caters to traders with varying needs and preferences. For example, by offering an Islamic account, they specifically accommodate traders who require a swap-free option in accordance with Islamic principles. It’s worth noting that few brokers offer such options for traders bound by Islamic principles.

Is Vault Markets Also Available As An App?

The short answer is yes. Vault Markets has an app, and it’s available on Play Store and App Store for Android and iOS devices, respectively. It can also be downloaded from the Vault Markets website. 

The app features a simple design and facilitates account management tasks such as opening accounts, making deposits, and withdrawals. However, please note that it does not currently enable trading. At the time of writing, customer support had just informed me that the app is not available for download due to ongoing maintenance. The situation might have since changed, so be sure to inquire with them.

Payment and Withdrawal Methods

Once you sign up and create a Vault Markets trading account, you can easily fund your account through Visa and MasterCard payment methods. You can use the same methods to withdraw your profits. Customer Support informed me that withdrawals are processed almost instantaneously. However, it’s important to note that withdrawal processing depends on bank hours. Withdrawals can take up to 24-48 business hours to be processed. Therefore, traders are advised to consider business hours when requesting withdrawals. There may also be operational delays over weekends or during public holidays.

Do We Recommend Vault Markets?

Based on the few reviews I read on Trustpilot, the company seems to offer a terrible user experience and customer support. One Trustpilot user criticized them, alleging that they take too long to fill trades, leading to losses. He even accused them of manipulating prices, as you can see in the screenshot below:

At the time of writing this review, Vault Markets had an overall rating of 1.4 stars, with 95% of Trustpilot users giving it just 1 star. This rating generally indicates a very poor level of customer satisfaction. It shows that not all legitimate online trading platforms are good. 

To cut a long story short, we don’t recommend Vault Markets due to its poor ratings. While they process withdrawals, which is commendable, since scammers usually don’t, the company has been accused of engaging in trading manipulation and failing to provide a capable system. 

This issue has left many traders unable  to quickly seize trading opportunities as they arise. It has caused many people to lose money. 

We also found a fair number of complaints about Vault Markets on Facebook, with many alleging dishonest trading practices. However, there were no reviews on Reddit, likely because Vault Markets is a South African company and not widely known in other parts of the world.
